What file types and sizes can I upload?
The sharpening tool accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP files. On the free tier each upload can reach 5 MB; paid accounts raise that ceiling to 20 MB per image. A phone screenshot or a full-size camera JPEG both drop in without converting the file first.
Can I sharpen a batch of images at once?
No. The image sharpener processes one image per run, so a batch has to be handled a file at a time. For a shoot, sharpen your hero frames individually, and re-run any file with different settings when the first pass is not quite right.
What output size and format can I get?

Can a badly blurred image be sharpened?
Partly. Sharpening amplifies detail that survived the exposure, so a mildly soft or slightly unfocused frame usually recovers well. Severe motion blur or a deep focus miss destroyed the information outright, and no photo sharpener can return it. Expect improvement on those files, not rescue.
How is sharpening different from unblurring and upscaling?
Sharpening raises edge contrast and fine texture in detail that is already present. Unblurring targets the specific degradation of motion or focus blur. Upscaling adds pixels to make a small file larger. If your photo is simply soft rather than small or smeared, sharpening is the pass you want.
Can I sharpen text in a screenshot or scan?

It will not guess at characters that are already unreadable, so genuinely illegible text stays ambiguous instead of being invented into a plausible word.
Will sharpening change a person’s face?
No. Portrait mode brings out facial and hair detail while keeping the person recognizable, and the Face restoration toggle clarifies visible features only. It does not reshape the face, smooth skin into plastic, or restyle the subject. Missing detail is left missing rather than guessed at.
Can I sharpen only part of an image?
Not currently. The image sharpener works on the whole frame rather than a selection or a brushed region. When only one area matters, pick the mode that matches that subject: General, Portrait, Product, Text or Art, so the pass is tuned to the content you care about most.
